One of the more important tasks in BIM if we need to prepare the models for Facility Management purposes, is to have a complete inventory for all equipment organized by spaces in a project.

In BIM6D we have created a Dynamo datashapes node that automates that workflow. The routine identify components for each room for the selected categories (furniture, casework, mechanical equipment, etc.) and insert in the component families the room code.

What we need is to have defined the room codes in the revit model and a parameter in the families to fill with this room code, so the result will allow to create data drops by room identifying all components in an organized way.
